Brief Description: A long lived race (2000-2500 years average) of various color that favors Warmer climates but has a higher than average adaptability on par with Humans. As such most Ne'la worlds tend to be tropical or near tropical save industrial centers which tend to be on barely livable dead rocks so as to keep industrial impact as far from a garden world as possible
An Ancient race that's self professed singular goal is to "Raise" other races as one would a child, to the next level of existence, a large part of the Ne'la faith is base around the opinion that Ne'la ascend individually as they die, where as other species must be given time to grow prosper--or crumble if they are to weak--and mature before they are given the option of general ascension or to take the place of the Ne'la. This "Parenting" is achieved through weeding out problem children, Radicals, war mongers, Zealots etc. and instilling in the species a sense of honor and willing self sacrifice that will give the species the strength to survive the tortures of ascension.
As such Ne'la rarely enter a conflict for territory, more often it is to keep a misguided child from annihilating a sector of space with a left over Ne'la Super weapon, most often relics of the devastating war the Ne'la had to fight against the shattered (Formerly the Human Empire) to safely remove themselves from the galaxy.

With a recorded history lasting around 3.3 billion years the Ne'la are a species devoted to the preservation of life in all of it's forms. which has sadly and ironically led them to war many times in the past. Most recently (in the last 10,000 years) a devastating war with the former Human empire which until that point had just been a peripheral on the Ne'la Nations borders and Vice Verse. This changed after the defeat of the Veski. Leading to a war of attrition that lasted around 4300 years ending only after the Ne'la began to abandon the galaxy, to wait for the Empire to wane before coming forth once more.

200 YA - unconfirmed reports of an unknown classification of Vessel, several historians link the hulls outlines to those of a species believed to have been eradicated by the human empire. they are dismissed, the human empire had always been very thorough in it eradication campaigns.
194 YA - A crashed Ne'la Scout is discovered on a small moon there is no body and the blood has been there for nearly a decade the Crew retrieves the vessel and the vessel is studied it is confirmed as a newer variant of the old Piranha class scout ship. Intelligence Agencies all over the Galaxy Scramble for more information on this seemingly clandestine force ghosting through entire security networks.
188 YA - the Galactic south west sector Axia becomes a Bermuda triangle of spaceflight after three combat fleets disappear in the course of six months.
179 YA - Dredging up truly ancient maps, Stellar Cartographers after pooling resources conclude That Sector Axia was the former core of a major Civilization. 3 months later It is confirmed to be Ne'la. 1 month after that Intelligence agencies step up their Info nets
174 YA - the Info nets find a single piece of Ne'la military doctrine in it describes a system of long range kinetic weapons, mid range line ships and line breaker knife fighting ships while the descriptions paint a picture of capability they lack detail for shape and structural modeling.
154 YA - after 20 years of nothing involving the strange ships or disappearances a coalition scout is sent out to investigate Axia
disappears after stumbling across what appears to be a massive system wide shipyard before it can send the coordinates it's transmission cuts.
153 YA - after much more digging the System in question is nominally identified as Kipton K-3 at one point the 4th largest fastest high quality producing shipyard in the known galaxy. further after rooting through the millenia old files of the former human empire colloquially named shattered a cover up is discovered, over the course of 3 years it is discovered that.
1) The Eradication fleets met no resistance and indeed came across entirely empty systems
2) that the few times an eradication fleet made contact the fighting was extremely costly on both sides
3) the empire lost contact with many of it's production worlds over the course of 30 years and that upon finding them found the entire military population dead the civilian population gone and the factories burned out.due what appeared to be an orbital bombardment
