CSNV Photon

“Captain... might want to look at this...” came the Intelligance officer, staring at a scanner readout of the unknown vessel, his hands tapping on the console in a calm manner, turning the design this way and that as Tesek merely asked “What is it?” “This is the Bioscan reading from about Twenty minutes ago, right?” as the Scan picture came up on the captain’s console, a circle highlighting what could only be described as where they presumed was the Cryo chambers (Or at least, according to the notes from the officer) as Tesek stared at them as the Intel officer added “This... is the latest scan. Blue dots are confirmed friendlies.” as the second picture came up, the captain stared at the one green dot on the screen, relatively close to the blue ones.

That wasn’t good, not good at all. His mind carefully examining this dot as if it was some sort of anomaly before finally turning his gaze towards the Intelligance officer and asking in a calm tone “Absolutely sure?” “Not quite, sir... we’re doing another biological scan in five to confirm this. But the composition of that ship, despite being on minimum power... it is possible that one of the chambers might of reacted differently... I’m also doing other area scans to see if there is any clue how this ship got here. Nothing so far.” came the officers response as the captain remained transfixed on the dot as he finally said “AURA, Inform the inspection team of this.” His eyes on another timer, in the corner of his screen, showing the ETA of the Luna and it’s fleet, a restless sigh escaping him as all he had to do was sit and wait now.

Onboard the I.A.S. Insanity Silver

“Lieutenant. Photon reports a chance of unknown life form contact. First contact must be engaged from here on out. Confirm you received order.” Came the AURA unit’s response as the Lieutenant’s stomach seemed to sour from that as she replied “Order confirmed, Squad, Safety on weapons. Now.” Her dogged order was replied with the sounds of clicking. they had been searching for sometime, lights flickering this way and that at the corridor’s within the ship seemed to be illuminated on the walls, before moving away plunging the elegance into darkness. The sounds of the metal boots from their armour moving through the chamber slowly and carefully as they started to explore.

The lieutenant herself was somewhat... annoyed by what she was seeing. It was empty, dead and with no proper sounds. And yet she couldn’t help get the feeling that they weren’t alone. Kind of like those jump scare horror games which were crawling around the warp net... but still, no monsters and crazy tentacle aliens. That was definitely good in her books, that was for sure.
