We are legion!
The Alsatian Empire has some of the best troops in the galaxy in terms of training and discipline. The Imperial legions are feared and respected throughout the galaxy and they have gained an unbreakable reputation by winning the Great war of the Core and having defeated and pushed back the Enthian horde many times their size. A legionaire's home is war and his family and friends are his legion. The Imperial legions are tightly knit communities of soldiers who spend most of their lives in the legion, thus sharing a feeling of comradery unheard in most military organizations. Their discipline is very strict and one can be sentenced to death for falling asleep while on guard duty for example. This all coupled with their superior equipment, weapons and nanites in every legionaires bloodstream makes the legions one of the most effective fighting forces in the galaxy.

Organized to the maximum
The Alsatian Empire is very well organized all the way from the highest echelons of power to the lowest, thus the Imperials are famous for their punctuality. Every citizen is accounted for and the society is built in a way in which everyone knows their place.

Deus Ex Machina
The Empire is technologically advanced, it's citizens live way beyond the normal human lifespan and longevity increasing nanites are affordable, at least for the upper class citizens. The Empire's citizens enjoy a top quality of living on a galactic scale as many technological advances help them out in their daily lives. Body parts are being grown from scratch in lab conditions and if one is willing to pay, near immortality is not that far away.

Weaknesses

Red tape
Good organization comes with a price, bureucracy. The Empire is sinking in red tape as sometimes unneeded bureocracy slows down decision making.

Deus Ex Machina
Without their technology, the Empire would be nothing. It is technology that enabled it's survival when the Enthians appeared and it is technology that is keeping the Empire alive. For example, nanites were to be removed from a person's body, that person would most likely die as these small machines are supporting their bodies.

Oligarchy
The Alsatian government is what may be called oligarchial democracy. People vote to elect their representatives to the Imperial Senate, yet the pool of representatives to select from consists only of upper class citizens known as patricians. The common people have a few ways to directly make a difference.
